Captains Favourite Coastal Boat Trip
Every month in Svalbard brings its own charm. A journey under the midnight sun in May differs from one as the polar night descends in October. Early in the season, snow blankets the mountains, and fjords may still be adorned with sea ice. From June onward, the landscape transforms, bursting with vibrant hues of green and yellow. Wildlife sightings are a possibility, from reindeer and seals to whales, and if we're exceptionally lucky, polar bears may grace us with their presence. Along the way, we'll pass cultural landmarks and historical sites, ensuring an unforgettable sensory experience guided by our knowledgeable staff.
You'll embark on this voyage aboard the hybrid electric catamaran MS Bard. Engineered to minimize noise and vibration, this vessel brings you closer to nature while minimizing disturbance to the surrounding wildlife
Isfjord Safari to find Atlantic Puffins
We'll navigate the fjords, heading eastward. From May to the end of July, the fjord areas are teeming with migratory birds from all corners of the globe. With a bit of luck, you may even catch a glimpse of a whale along the way. Our ultimate destination is the bird cliff Diabas, renowned for its vibrant birdlife. Here, we'll encounter numerous breeding pairs of Atlantic Puffins, as well as a multitude of Brünnich’s Guillemots.
Dinner Cruise Under the Midnight Sun
From April to August, Svalbard experiences 24-hour sunlight. The sun shines brightly both day and night, creating an unusual and captivating experience. On this evening tour, we'll sail out on Isfjorden, cruising past endless mountain vistas. Alongside a delicious dinner in these stunning surroundings, there's a good chance you'll spot some wildlife. The fjords are typically teeming with seabirds, and if we're lucky, we might even see a whale or two.
You'll travel on the hybrid electric catamaran MS Bard. Its specially designed engine and propellers minimize noise and vibrations, allowing us to get closer to nature and ensuring minimal disturbance to the surrounding wildlife.
During the cruise, you'll be served a three-course dinner. The meal is enjoyed indoors, where you can take in the breathtaking views through large panoramic windows. You’re also welcome to explore several outdoor decks, which offer comfortable seating areas.
You leave Svalbard after an unforgettable trip :)
After seeing the beautiful scenery of Svalbard, the unique wildlife and animals home to the archipelago (and hopefully a polar bear), you had back to the airport, with a smile full of experiences and a satisfied mind.

In our opinion, The ideal duration for a trip to Svalbard is at least six days, in which you can see most of the island and try most of the attractions that Svalbard offers. It is possible to extend or shorten the trip by several days and adjust the trip for your personal needs
You can visit Svalbard all year round. There is a fundamental difference between the type of trip in the summer season and the winter season. A trip during the summer offers the possibily of taking ferry a ferry ride to all parts of the island, trekking, and of course daylight during the whole day. A trip in the winter time offers viewing of the northern lights, winter activities such as snowmobiling and dog sledding, and in addition lower costs
Planning a trip to Svalbard requires knowing the place well, taking into account the weather conditions,In order to maximise the time availbale. That's exactly why we are here, with people who are experts in this area, and can offer their help in planning a trip to Svalbard
As accommodation is usually completely full in Svalbard during the summer season, we would recommend booking the trip as soon as possible, and at least six months before arrival to secure your place on the island for the upcoming season
The best time to see the Northern Lights is during the winter season, usually between the beginning of October and the end of February. Since it is dark in Svalbard almost all day in winter, the chance of seeing the northern lights is one of the highest in the world
